We know you have been waiting for it and here it goes - the quiz for original paper of generative adversarial networks. The quiz was developed by Dharmendra Choudhary, but I have tested it very thouroughly and I can assure you that it’s very good. :) Be aware though that there are several catches in the quiz and you should read the questions very attentively. Also, we have updated the deadlines - the deadline for the paper reading phase is this Sunday (July, 14, 2019). The soft deadline for the quiz is at the same day. Check your Google calendar - we’ve just updated it. We are also planning discussion on Sunday, but we’re unsure yet of how many people have completed the paper, so we will post about it later.
– All the best, Ana, Dharmendra and Marce
Today we’re introducing the Hall of Fame. This is the page where we’ll be publishing the names of the members who were able to score 9 or 10 on the quiz. You can also see the distribution of scores if you’re interested.
We also had a very nice chat today with some of the members during the virtual meetup and developed a few other ideas on the activites we should add to our paper reading process. We’ll keep you posted.
– Cheers, Ana
There was a lot of confusion today on Slack regarding current paper, discussions, etc. So I updated our calendar to reflect all the current deadlines. I will be updating it as we add new deadlines. If I don’t do so, please ping me. :) Also, note that each event has a link (e.g. to a quiz or to a paper), so you don’t have to look for it. Hope you like it. The link - CALENDAR

The next paper has been chosen and I’m pretty excitied about it. 35.14% of our respondents selected GANs. The second best choice was the paper on GNNs that gathered 16.22% of voices. There were total 37 votes, so I consider the selection phase complete and close the voting. The updates will follow soon!
Live discussion for the current paper (on differential privacy) will take place on Sunday on Slack (SPAIC Slack) at 5PM UTC. Don’t forget to take the quiz if you haven’t done so already.
– Cheers, Ana
Aaaand, here goes THE QUIZ. It should be much easier than the previous one. Do enjoy! And again - we don’t track any personal scores, only aggregated rating, so use it to enhance your reading experience!
– Cheers, Ana
